The WSH Foundation is a registered charity which supports charitable causes in local communities, from awarding hospitality scholarships to funding School Kitchen Garden projects to help young people understand where food comes from.
The Foundation has been created to specifically support the outstanding fundraising activities and efforts of our colleagues across the WSH businesses. The main source of funding is from the Down to Earth coffee cup initiative; for every Down to Earth Coffee sold, a penny-per-cup is donated to the WSH Foundation. Fundraising is also supplemented through individual events such as local activities across WSH locations throughout the UK.
Over 50% of the funds are allocated to the School Kitchen Garden project, supporting local schools to establish kitchen gardens which enables our teams to reinforce the importance of fresh food and provenance to children. Funds are also used to support charities involved in the hospitality sector as well as charities that are important to our colleagues, customers and clients.
Who and what we've supported

In recent years, we have donated almost £90,000 in partnership with our education catering provider, Caterlink. As part of its sustainability project, we committed a further £500 for each school last year - that's a total of £13,500.

The BaxterStorey Foundation donated £5,000 towards the Scannappeal Golf Day this year. As a result, a total of £16,500 was raised which was directly put towards research and development of digital breast screening.
